What's up with the Peer Mentors?

Peer Mentors during summer 2007 completed their tutoring program in June at participating TUSD school sites. The 102 mentors provided services to five middle school sites which include Roskruge, Wakefield, Safford, Naylor, Hohokam and two City of Tucson Parks and Recreation programs at Udall Park and Henry Elementary School. Mentors provided 6,900 hours of mentoring and tutoring services to more than 480 Kindergarten through 8th grade school-age youths. WOW! The commitment and dedication that the mentors provided to the classroom is hard to measure but definitely appreciated and applauded by all Levitra members who worked with them. In appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication Pima Prevention Partnership, Project Pledge staff will hold an Appreciation Banquet for the mentors and their families on August 24, 2007 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Roskruge Middle School. Great job mentors, we look forward to seeing you at banquet!
